Snow, snow, snow

December 16, 2007

So today we have our first snow of this winter season. The wind is blowing from the northwest and it is 27 degrees. The snow is not the best for making a snowman.
Maybe the next snow fall it will be better. If you scroll down further you will see the same shot but with fog on the lake taken earlier this year. The seasons are great and I really missed not having all 4 seasons the last 24 years in Florida.
Enjoy the photos and have a safe and happy holiday season. Only 9 days until Christmas and I hope Santa is good to everyone. Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy New Year to all.

SNOW!

Another day in paradise

Hi everyone. Today was breezy, partly cloudy, high in the 60's. The trees are still turning and look great. Enjoy the view and let me know what you think.

Rain finally

Hey everyone,
We finally had about an inch of rain last night. Some thunder and lightning too but nothing too severe. The wind was pretty strong the last few days and the dry leaves have fallen off the trees. There are still plenty of leaves, some green, red, orange and yellow too.
Larry and I wanted to say congrats to Dave, Kecia, Siena for winning the Super Pro
Championship last weekend at Pomona, CA. He is now #1 in the class over 7 divisions.
Way to go Dave. Another friend, Bruce Kaul got runner up at a big bucks bracket race in Immokalee, FL. Way to go Bruce.
Enjoy the photos.

Back from the dragraces

Hey everyone.
We are back from Middle Tennessee Dragway outside of Cookeville and Buffalo Valley.
Larry lost 4th round but made some real good runs. Enjoy the photos from the track.

Fog on the lake

Good morning, all.
This morning it was 36 degrees and as the cat and I were walking around the property,
the grass was crunching with small areas of frost. Yikes. It was calm and sunny with fog rising off the lake. We are off to the races today at Middle Tennessee Dragway outside of Cookeville. Wish us luck. I will post the results on Sunday. Enjoy the photo and I hope all is well with everyone.

November already?

So where has the time gone? It will be Thanksgiving before we know it. It is partly cloudy today and sure wish we would get some rain. Sound likes no such luck until a chance on Tuesday. We raked a lot of leaves last night and had a bonfire, the first of the season. Plenty more to come, maybe some marshmellow toastings soon. Take care friends and enjoy the photos.

Happy Halloween

Trick or Treat. Another sunny cool morning on the mountain. 48 degrees this morning and a slight breeze. Last night we took the pontoon on the lake to take some photos of the fall colors before all the leaves fall. The drought has made the leaves fall fast.
It will be in the 70's today and a perfect day to enjoy the lake. Take care and have a safe Halloween.

Cool and crisp morning

Good morning, everyone.
The low this morning was 38 degrees and the fog was rising off the lake.
What a beautiful sight to see the sun shining through the fog. The ducks
were really on the move. Looks like there is a few more and nine newbies.
Today will be in the 70's with plenty of sunshine.
So enjoy the great day and I will talk with you all later.

Feeling the cooler weather is great

This morning the temp was 41 degrees. Simply great. Sunny and the feel of fall in the air.
As I was walking around the yard, the leaves that have fallen were crunching under foot. That was the only sound other than a few birds and one blue heron that I scared along the waters edge.
He scared me, too. LOL
Time to do some raking and have a bonfire.
